The Grapevine Fire Department Honor Guard was established to represent the department at funerals, parades and other ceremonial events. It is our intention to represent any member of the fire service and their families when our assistance is requested. The Honor Guard will promote honor, professionalism and integrity through its conduct and image at all times holding the departments’ core values to the highest degree.

We need your help. The Honor Guard is going to Colorado Springs for the IAFF memorial in September 2008. This is the guards second year in a row to make this event. The memorial honors firefighters that have lost their lives in the line of duty. It's a way for all firefighters to come together and honor our fallen brothers and sisters, it's also a way for us to network with other Honor Guards and Pipes and Drums throughout the nation. Members of the Honor Guard and Pipes and drums have had a few donations throughout the year. We have received just enough to send two representatives this year. While the donations are greatly appreciated the guard would like to send ten of its members. The entire Pipe and Drums have been invited to play in the ceremonies and our Color Guard will be proudly carrying the Texas and Cities Fire Department Flag during the memorial. Without donations, guard members will be paying their own way. If you are your company would like to donate or sponsor part of this trip, or have any questions on how the guard can help you or your business, please feel free to contact us through links on our contact page.
